Khutruke by Krishna Sarbahari

It’s Khushi’s birthday but she’s disappointed in her father! He has given her a khutrukke, a clay money bank, as her birthday gift. But why should Khushi save her money?

In the early 1990s, there was a large national campaign in Nepal for children to invest on a “khuttruke” or piggy bank and start saving money. This story is inspired by that campaign.
